Leonardo DiCaprio has confirmed to Variety that we will be seeing him up on the big screen for Tarantino’s next project. According to sources, he will be playing the part of an aging actor in 1960s Los Angeles. This marks the second collaboration between the two of them, the first of which being 2012’s Django Unchained. This upcoming film will be DiCaprio’s return to cinemas after 2015’s smash success The Revenant, which earned him an Academy Award.

Potential co-stars like Margot Robbie, Brad Pitt, and Tom Cruise have been making rounds in American media outlets as of late. According to The Guardian, a role was created expressly for Al Pacino. The film tells the story of notorious serial killer Charles Manson, who allegedly sent his disciples to murder Sharon Tate, Roman Polanski’s then 8 month pregnant wife. The film is set to release on August 9th, 2019 – marking 50 years to the day of the murder.
