Black Widow, due to be released in 2020, will be the second solo film in the Marvel film universe to focus on a female character. In addition, according to rumours launched by the Crazy Days & Nights website and taken up by various specialised sites, Black Widow could be classified as ‘R-Rated’ and therefore prohibited for those under the age of 17 in cinemas in the United States, a first for Marvel. The film will of course feature the excellent actress Scarlett Johansson.

With this ambitious project, the Marvel film universe could be trying out a brand new style. For the moment, the information has not yet been confirmed and all this remains at the stage of speculation. Meanwhile, the filming of Black Widow will start on February 28th, 2019 in Miami and Croatia and finish around the end of March. The film will be directed by Cate Shortland. The release of Avengers: Endgame in April should enlighten fans as to the direction Marvel wants to take.
