It is not uncommon to see homeless people being evicted from public places by the police. However, it's not often you see someone stand up to the police, much less a teenager.

That's what Luke Holland did at a McDonald's in Birmingham, engaging one of the police officers in a rather heated debate about who the police should 'really' stop. The teenager had had enough of seeing the poor homeless man being treated in such a way and decided to step in.

His actions have been both praised and critiqued by internet users. Some say the teenager is a hero for standing up for someone not in a position to do it himself, while others say the cop was merely doing his job.
