Sadly, there are more and more homeless people on the streets who do not know where to sleep, and in some cases they go to fast food restaurants. Often embarrassed by these people, staff will sometimes call the police to expel them. But what happens when a teenager interferes?
It is not uncommon to see homeless people being evicted from public places by the police. However, it's not often you see someone stand up to the police, much less a teenager.
That's what Luke Holland did at a McDonald's in Birmingham, engaging one of the police officers in a rather heated debate about who the police should 'really' stop. The teenager had had enough of seeing the poor homeless man being treated in such a way and decided to step in.
His actions have been both praised and critiqued by internet users. Some say the teenager is a hero for standing up for someone not in a position to do it himself, while others say the cop was merely doing his job.
