So, what is MacCoin? There are five different ones. Whenever a customer buys a Big Mac, they will receive a MacCoin. The next day, the customer can either trade this coin for a Big Mac, or keep it for their collection.

This special operation will take place in 50 different countries and will be launched on August 2nd. Why this date?

‘August 2 would have been his 100th birthday, and I believe he would be very proud knowing his humble sandwich has made such a lasting impression that people all around the world can enjoy it wherever they find a McDonald's.' says Nick Delligatti, great-grandson of the Big Mac’s inventor, Jim Delligatti. But 2018 is also the anniversary of the Big Mac, which is celebrating its 50th birthday. So happy birthday to both of you!
