Man Has Intense Stand-Off With A Black Rhino - Watch What Happens Next

It's fair to suggest that not many of us had ever gotten the rare opportunity to encounter an African Black Rhinoceros, one of world's most critically endangered species. However, this brave wildlife filmmaker came face-to-face with the horned animal.

Kim Wolhuter, filmmaker, photographer and wildlife specialist was filming some upclose shots for his documentary on Discovery Channel, Man, Cheetah, Wild. In an attempt to get some closer shots of the beautiful animal in its natural habitat, Wolhuter stepped outside of his Jeep and carefully set up his camera before finding himself in a staring contest with the 1,200kg-heavy mammalian.

Whilst the black rhino used to roam sub-Saharan Africa, they are now categorised to be one of the most critically endangered species world-wide by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. Watch the video above to see how Wolhuter peacefully stands his ground during the face-to-face encounter with the Wild animal.
