While being interviewed by Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain, broadcast on ITV, the Portuguese footballer was overwhelmed by emotion when he saw a video about his father who died of liver cancer in 2005.

The man who just scored 94 goals for the national team explained that he was sad to know that his father could never see the extent of what he had become.
A lot of us hope to make our family proud. When our family is tragically taken from us it creates a whole that can very seldomly be filled.
Ensure that if you're lucky enough to have your family around, you try to show and prove to them everyday the best side of yourself and exactly how far you're willing to go to make them proud.
