Just yesterday marked 11 years to the day that Maddie disappeared from their apartment in Portugal, whilst on holiday with her family. Kate and Gerry McCann had gone to dinner at a restaurant not far from the apartment. Meanwhile Maddie, who was just 3 years old and her brother and sister, both 2 years old were sleeping. After going back to check on the children at regular intervals, it was at 10pm that Maddie disappeared.
The investigation continues
Since then, parents have been searching for her. ‘Information continues to come in (incredible as it may seem after so long, although we are very grateful for it) and work goes on’ the parents said on Facebook.
‘She is a real person and she is still our little girl and as we always have, we will endeavour to do whatever it takes to find her. Thank you for helping us in our mission’.
However, in 11 years almost no serious trail has been explored. Funds will soon be released to the investigating team conducting the enquiry who will continue to work on the case.
