After being attacked in July, Mesut Özil and Sead Kolasinac have since found themselves mixed up in a gang war in London. The two players are now under permanent police surveillance.

The footage has been seen by the entire world. In July this year, while they were targeted by car-jackers, Mesut Özil was attacked before being saved by his teammate Seas Kolasinac. Supporters of the Gunners loved this story and even wanted Kolasinac to become team captain as a reward for his bravery.

Despite his bravery, the Bosnian definitely didn’t expect to find himself at the heart of a gang war just a few weeks later. According to information from The Sun, a gang from North London came forward to help the two players by threatening their original attackers. Not overly impressed, the attackers then threatened to return and take everything the players had.

Since then, Mesut Özil and Sead Kolasinac have been under 24-hour police surveillance. Two individuals who turned up at Mesut Özil’s home have since been arrested…

Because of ‘security incidents’, the two players didn’t play and weren’t even at the stadium to watch the opening match between Newcastle and Arsenal (0-1). They still haven’t re-joined their team and we still don't know whether they will be back on the pitch for the next game against Burnley…
