His Grindr date murdered and feasted on him

It's a terrible story, some details of which may shock some of our more sensitive readers. The following content is graphic. Discretion is advised.

As was reported byAmerican television channel WILX, a 25-year-old young man named Kevin Bacon (unrelated to the actor), was found dead on December 28, 2019 in the flat of a certain Mark Latunski, in the suburb of Flint, Michigan. A few days before, on Christmas Eve, they had scheduled a date, after having chatted each other up on the gay dating app Grindr.

Post-mortem mutilations

Latunski, 50 years old andalleged killer, confessed to his crime, and was then arrested. He has been charged with murder and mutilation. After having stabbed his victim in the back, cut his throat, and hung him from his ceiling by the ankles, he doubled down on him. He claimed to have cut up the young man's lifeless body, including his testicles. He then proceeded to cook them, and eat them.

It was Bacon's flatmate, aware of the date, who worried that she hadn't any news from the young man whose phone was turned off. The very next day, when he didn't show up at the Christmas dinner, his family began the search. In a nearby parking lot, Kevin Bacon's car was found, along with his phone.

Mark Latunski was known to the police

This was not the first time that Mark Latunskihas dealt with the police. He suffers from schizophrenia and from deep paranoia, allegedly. His ex-wife was said to have asked in August 2019 for the custody rights to their children. In November of that same year, a 29-year-old man was also allegedly abused by Latunski. After havingcontacted the police, he had been found wearing only a kilt, with blood on his face. Latunski declared he just wanted the kilt back.

The case has notablybeen publicised by an American actor with the same name as the victim,who posted a photo of the hairdresser on Instagram as a tribute.

For obvious reasons I’m thinking this morning about the friends and Family of this young person Kevin Bacon. His life was taken from him much too soon. His love was hair dressing. I bet he would have done a great job on this mess on my head.

Jeffree Star, YouTuber specialising in cosmetics, for his part, gave 20,000 dollars to Kevin Bacon's family. He also accusedthe Grindr company of not having been sufficiently responsive.

The family of the young hairdresser was in shock, says WILX.

He obviously found himself in a situation he was not prepared for. Everybody makes mistakes. It's horrible to hear all these details and we can't get over it.

This case obviously brings to minda similar murder, which took place in 2012 in Canada. Lin Jun had been killed and dismembered by the infamous Luka Magnotta, nicknamed 'the butcher of Montreal.' They had also met via a dating site.
