The former Ferrari squad’s team principal, Jean Todt, is one of the rare few who has access to the Schumacher family’s house in Switzerland. He has recently delivered a reassuring testimony about the champion’s fighting spirit and strength.
Michael Schumacher has millions of fans. So naturally, every update about his health is closely examined. First, we got some reassurance from his father last December, and now Jean Todt reveals to Radio Monte-Carlo (RMC) that he watched the latest Grand Prix with his friend.
‘I’m always careful with such statements but it’s true. I saw the race together with Michael Schumacher at his home in Switzerland. Michael is in the best hands and is well looked after in his house.’
The former Ferrari squad’s team principal is one of the few people to have the right to access the Schumacher household in Switzerland. Lots of friends of the seven-time Formula 1 world champion have been complaining that they aren’t allowed news of how he is doing. But Jean Todt wanted to reassure everyone about the champion’s fighting spirit.
‘He does not give up and keeps fighting. His family is fighting just as much and of course, our friendship can not be the same as it once was. Just because there’s no longer the same communication as before. He continues to fight. And his family is fighting the same way.’
Driven by the best wishes from his millions of fans around the world, Michael Schumacher is still fighting after his terrible ski accident in 2013. Check out the video to find out more!
