The Goose Island Beer Company has decided to join forces with chocolate giant, Cadbury, to collaborate on a limited edition stout beer.

If for whatever reason you were curious to know what it would taste like to eat a Cadbury Creme Egg and sip on nice pint of stout then you're in for a treat! The duo have just come out with a limited edition Cadybury Creme Egg stout that will satisfy your boozy and chocolate-y cravings.

Only 3000 cans were produced

For £10 you can get your hands on two 440ml cans of creamy, boozy goodness with an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 4.5%. In the UK alone, more than 200 million Cadbury Creme Eggs are sold each year despite only being available between Boxing Day and Easter, so you can imagine the popularity of the chocolate-y treat. So, word of advice: you might want to hurry on the opportunity as there are only 3000 cans available around the world!

Though no actual Cadbury was used directly into the recipe to concoct the beer, the team at Goose Island says they have found the all the right flavours of the popular confectionary to infuse into the beer.

What can we expect it to taste like?

The Golden Goo-Beer-Lee Creme Stout is a balanced blend of malted barley, oats, wheat and milk sugar that provides a 'deliciously rich and creme-y texture.' Cacao nibs and vanilla beans were also used in the mix to ensure that it would:

lift the creme and chocolatey notes to deliver a celebratory beer that is smooth, rich and 'eggselently' balanced.

Goose Island's Master Brewer, Andrew, described the beer as having just enough sweetness and richness without being overpowering:

The flavours of a stout are already quite complementary to the Creme Egg, but I wanted to make sure when you crack open the beer you knew immediately what the inspiration was and really big up the chocolate and creaminess of the beer, while keeping it super drinkable.
