This is one animal who has definitely earned its reputation as one of the baddest creatures to be roaming the ocean: the great white shark. With a size often exceeding 12 feet and a set of teeth and jaw capable of tearing just about anything apart. We often hear about them attacking smaller fish and even sea lions, but this scene caught on video by one diver in Australia is much rarer sight.

English expat Adam Malski, 33, was out with a crew doing some diving off the Australian coast. Upon surfacing, he caught this scene unfolding. Before his eyes, a great white shark rose from the depths... quickly followed by a second one. It seems like they may have had a problem with each other.

A surreal attack

While a crazy sight for the ex-Londoner, apparently the locals had become all too familiar with the massive great white that had surfaced - they had even given it a name, Gilbert. For Malski, the situation was all too bizarre: 'The day where the shark attacked the other was surreal'.

I asked the divemaster and skipper of the boat what would happen if a smaller shark got in the way of a larger shark. The skipper responded "The big shark would take the smaller one down”.

Not by six seconds later, Adam Malski caught a glimpse of a sight that many of us will never get the chance to witness in our lifetimes: not one, but two great white sharks.

An apparent act of cannibalism between sharks caught on film. Even when viewing the footage captured by Adam Malski, it's hard to put into words just how incredible the sight would be to see in person.
